Activity :

The CREPIM is one of the major European Laboratories for the approval of materials covered by fire regulations.

 

Located in the heart of Europe, CREPIM tests and develops fire-resistant formulasfor companies working in the mass transportation sector (railway, aircraft and boat), in the building, electrical, and textile sectors.

Service / Domain :

Its activities feature five areas:

 

1 Assessment of the fire properties of materials:

-Railways: NF F 16-101 ; DIN 5510 ; BS 6853, and the enw EU regulation EN 45 545

- Building : NF P 92-501…, DIN 4102, Euroclasses EN 13501

-Aircraft: ABD 00031……

2 Participation in French and European Standardization Committees on plastics (TC 61), building (TC 92), and railways (TC 256);

3 Development of fire-retardant materials for various end use applications (thermoplastics and thermosetting materials);

4 Recycling of fire-retarded plastics;

5 Training for companies

 

CREPIM gives high priority to work in close collaboration with companies, enabling them to validate their materials to meet European fire-safety requirements in various areas of use.

 

For the manufacturers, CREPIM represents a key opportunity to be in direct contact with the requirements of the various European markets, and also guarantees them a straight access to these markets.

As a technological skill Centre assisting in textile innovation, IFTH has developed a network of technological platforms in order to propose high added value services to industrial companies in the Textile and Apparel sectors.
