EXHIBITION IN RHONE-ALPES

15 October 2009 16 March 2010: 21st century textiles
The "21st century textiles" exhibition takes place on two sites: the Museum of art and industry of Saint Etienne and Bourgoin Museum. The Museum course invites visitors to discover the main textile sector through a two communal trunk museums concepts reminiscent fundamental techniques using a touch and interactive space. Each museum then presents different areas of applications in resonance with its territory.
Go to the discovery of these new textiles that change our daily lives. Protection from the cold, car accidents, avalanches. Protection against chemical, bacteriological and radioactive pollution. Tissues that treat, "intelligent" textiles, protective textiles. Tissue today develop a range of worthy of science fiction features. Come and discover this exhibition in a fully textile architecture.
Sport and recreation, protection of the person and car are the topics discussed by the two musées.Le Museum of art and industry offers in addition to discover technical areas health textiles and of Museum of Bourgoin design.Le for its part focuses on the areas of environment, textiles in connection with electronics and fashion.
The original design offers you discover technical and functional textiles through interactive experiences, devices experimental, videos, special exhibition panels child, 7 families games...  In order to develop the scientific content of exposure and make it accessible to all audiences, a partnership has been forged on this occasion with ITECH (Institute Textile and chemical Lyon) and Rhone (scientific, technical and industrial culture Centre.) CCSTI.
